The Department of Mathematical Sciences at the University of Liverpool is seeking a Lecturer in the area of Theoretical Physics beyond the Standard Model. The post will be in the String Phenomenology and Beyond Standard Model research cluster, and is associated with Dr Edward Hardy's Future Leaders Fellowship funded research programme into new light hidden sector particles and the Quantum Sensors for Hidden Sector (QSHS) UK experimental collaboration.

 

You should have a PhD and an excellent track record in Theoretical Physics or related fields including frequent publications in internationally recognised journals, be enthusiastic to teach both small and large groups, and to take on student supervision. You will be supported and encouraged to attract external research funding, and you will play a part in the development of the department. No prior experience in the particular field of new light particles is required and we encourage applications from any field of Theoretical Particle Physics, but an interest in working in this area, and in developing connections with experimentalists and/or string theorists would be particularly welcome.
