Description:

The Mathematics Department at King’s College London invites applications for an AEP lectureship position (assistant professor) in Mathematics (Education) with a focus on Theoretical or Mathematical Physics. Candidates are expected to have a Ph.D. in Theoretical Physics, Mathematics, or a closely related area and relevant teaching experience. The successful applicant should have the potential to lead improvements in the student experience across the department and influence our educational offering. They will also be expected to carry out scholarly research.

AEP lectureships have a focus on education, but allow regular career progression up to the rank of professor. There is also the possibility of movement between AEP positions and traditional academic (research/teaching) positions. They could be associated with either the Theoretical Physics Group or the Disordered Systems Group. The Theoretical Physics Group at the Mathematics Department is currently composed of P. West, N. Lambert, G. Papadoupoulos, G. Watts, N. Gromov, N. Drukker, S. Murthy, D. Anninos, C. Herzog and soon to join are A. Stergiou, P. Kravchuk, and M. Martone. The Disordered Systems group is comprised of R. Kühn, Y. Fyodorov, B. Doyon, A. Annibale, T. Di Matteo, I. Neri, G. Sicuro, P. Vivo, and an upcoming appointee P. Ruggiero.

The post is available from January 1st, 2022. Please complete the KCL application procedure found at
