Description:
The Theoretical Particle Physics and Cosmology (TPPC) group at King’s College London welcomes applications for senior postdoc and advanced fellowship positions.
Royal Society University Research Fellowships https://royalsociety.org/grants-schemes-awards/grants/university-research/
Ernest Rutherford Fellowships
Marie Curie Individual Fellowships https://ec.europa.eu/research/mariecurieactions/actions/individual-fellowships_en
and Stephen Hawking Fellowships https://www.ukri.org/opportunity/stephen-hawking-fellowship/
to be hosted by our group.
The TPPC group is a vibrant, international research team including experts in particle physics, dark matter physics and astrophysics, cosmology, gravitational waves, quantum gravity and quantum field theory, numerical relativity and modified gravity. More information about the group can be found in https://www.kcl.ac.uk/nms/depts/physics/about/index.aspx The group is active in several experiments including ATLAS, CTA, LIGO and AION, and has strong ties to other Universities in the London area, including Imperial College, UCL and QMUL.
We invite interested candidates to contact us by sending a brief research proposal (max. 1 page, including Project Title and short "Vision Statement" of 100 words) and an abridged CV to tppc-applications@kcl.ac.uk before the 10th of July. We advise potential candidates to check carefully the eligibility criteria of the calls. We expect to make a decision on the candidates we can support within two weeks of the closing date (i.e. by 24th July). After a decision to support has been made, then an application will be made to the relevant funding bodies on the timelines indicated in the links above.
TPPC has a strong track record of success in recent applications, and in converting senior fellowships into full-time jobs and supporting early career researchers.
Our group is committed to diversity within its community and especially welcomes applications from visible minority groups, women, persons with disabilities, persons of any sexual orientation or gender identity, and others who may contribute to the further diversification of ideas.
