Description:

The Particle Physics group of the University of Bristol, UK, (tinyurl.com/particle-bristol) invites applications for a Research Associate position to work on the LHCb experiment at CERN’s Large Hadron Collider. This is one of several Research Associate positions at the universities of Bristol, Cambridge and Imperial College London to create a team to work closely with faculty from all three institutes. The position is funded until the end of June 2025 in the first instance.

You will focus on the analysis of rare decay modes in which significant anomalies with respect to the predictions of the Standard Model have been observed. We have played a leading role in measurements of lepton flavour universality ratios in rare and semileptonic B-meson decay modes, and angular and amplitude analyses of rare decays. We expect the successful candidates to take an active role in LHCb data analysis in these or other areas with the potential to observe physics beyond the Standard Model.
