Agenda

An exciting programme of lectures and hands-on sessions will discuss the next steps in the study of mechanism of electroweak symmetry breaking after the recent discovery of a 'Higgs-like boson' at the LHC.

Lectures

The lectures will cover the following topics, both from the experimental and theoretical side.

  • The signal around 125 GeV.
  • How to measure the properties of the new boson?
  • How to distinguish the Standard model Higgs boson from something else?

Hands-on Sessions

The hands-on session will focus on analysis of Higgs measurements using jet tagging techniques.
