How to get to Durham

Durham, July 29 - August 4

The conference will cover experimental, cosmological and phenomenologically oriented applications of string theory. The aim is to bring together experimental and theoretical physicists to learn about the triumphs and challenges that high energy physics faces in its attempts to unravel the next layers of fundamental interactions. Topics of relevance are:

  • Supersymmetry breaking
  • Experimental predictions from string theory
  • Realistic model building in string theory
  • String cosmology
There will be invited talks, and also submitted contributions. See the String Pheno 2002 web page for previous conferences.

The meeting will take place at the Physics Department, within walking distance of the historic site of Durham Castle and Cathedral. The fee is £100 which covers administration costs, secretarial costs, conference facilities and banquet in the Castle. Full board accommodation is available for the duration of the conference at Collingwood College in standard (**) or ensuite rooms (***), and half board at the Marriott hotel (****).
