BSM for LHC
Topical IPPP Research Programme for 2014 is dedicated to New Physics/Beyond the Standard Model phenomenology and searches at the LHC.
- Focus on the needs of LHC Run-II
- Also consider the high-energy and heavy flavour frontier beyond 2015-2016
- Heavy Flavour
- Higgs focus on BSM models
The Programme starts in Durham on 6 January 2014, with a Workshop planned for 15-17 January 2014 at IPPP. It is envisaged that research projects will be identified/discussed during these first two weeks and further developed, with the Programme participants returning to Durham during the Easter break. The second Programme Workshop is planned in March-April. (e.g. last week of April 2014).
A third Programme Workshop is planned to take place at CERN during the summer of 2014.
Members of the UK phenomenology and experimental particle physics community interested in participation in the Programme and Workshops are invited to contact the IPPP Director and the Organisers:
Alan Barr, Oliver Buchmueller, Valentin Khoze, Peter Richardson, Michael Spannowsky
To support participation of experimentalists in the Programme and more generally in the IPPP UK Phenomenology Network, Durham is launching a new initiative: Senior Experimental Fellowships @ IPPP. These will be awarded to small teams led by senior UK experimentalists and including more junior researchers (postdocs and students). The Senior Experimental Fellowships will cover travel and local expenses (accommodation and per diem) to support visits of the team to IPPP.
IPPP welcomes proposals for future Topical Research Programmes from the members of the UK Particle Physics Community. Please send your suggestions to Valya Khoze, IPPP Director and Tony Doyle, Chair, IPPP Steering Committee.
