Description:

Applications are invited for a postdoctoral research associate in Theoretical Physics, in the area of beyond the Standard Model physics, with an emphasis on the theory and phenomenology of possible new light particles including, for example, axions and axion-like-particles (previous experience in this specific area is not essential). You should have a PhD prior to start date in theoretical particle physics or a closely related subject.
 
The position is part of Dr Edward Hardy's Future Leaders Fellowship project in the phenomenology of new light particles beyond the Standard Model, and is linked to the new UK experimental collaboration ''Quantum Sensors for the Hidden Sector" (for further details please see https://qshs.shef.ac.uk). You will be part of the String and Beyond Standard Model Phenomenology research cluster and will be encouraged to interact with other theoretical and experimental physicists at the University of Liverpool and beyond. The appointment is to start in October 2022, although there is some flexibility, and it is initially for 24 months there is the possibility of extension for a further 12 months.
