How to get to Ambleside

Abstract deadline: 30thMay 2003

Registration deadline: 15thJune 2003

Ambleside is small, and COSMO has grown since its birth. Accommodating more than 150 people at Ambleside will be difficult. We therefore encourage you to register early .
Accommodation in St Martin's College is either standard (shared bathroom facilities), or a limited number of en-suite rooms are available. Partners are welcome to share your room; if you wish your children to accompany you, we suggest that you stay at a B+B.

Financial support for (UK) students has been provided by PPARC: the local expenses of approximately twenty students can be paid. Interested students should send an email (with student as subject) giving their name, their advisor, their advisor's email address, their thesis topic, and the year they expect to finish, to cosmo03.conf@durham.ac.uk before june 10. Preference will be given to finishing students. (Note that if you wish to give a talk, you must apply separately to the conveners.)

The deadline for abstracts is 30 May, for registration (with full payment) is June 15. Please email your title and abstract to the relevant convener, read about accommodation options, and fill out the web form to register.

Then send the required amount (you will receive details by email after registering) using one of the methods below. Your registration is not complete until the money is received. If you would like a receipt immediately, please ask Linda Wilkinson.

a) Bank Transfer to:
Barclays Bank
Market Place, Durham, DH1 3ND
Sort Code: 20-27-41
Account no: 60897507 University of Durham General Account

Please quote Reference R040382 415012 on the transfer and ensure that the name of the payer has been recorded. This is important and will allow us to trace the payment.

b) A pounds sterling cheque made payable to "The University of Durham" drawn on U.K. bank, or an international bank draft drawn on a U.K. Bank. Mail to:
Linda Wilkinson
IPPP, Dept of Physics
University of Durham
Durham DH1 3LE
U.K.

c) By credit card (unfortunately we cannot take American Express); please send details to Linda Wilkinson by fax at +44 191 334 3658 .
Or contact l.a.wilkinson@durham.ac.uk by email.

Any queries contact the local organising committee or Linda Wilkinson.
