New Methods for Feynman Integrals
21, 22 November 2008
Institute for Particle Physics Phenomenology
Durham University
Feynman integrals are an extremely powerful method for evaluating perturbative predictions of quantum field theories. The methodology has been first developed in particle physics, but has found many applications also in other areas of theoretical physics and in mathematics. The purpose of this workshop is to present latest developments in this field in pedagogical lectures that should be accessible to PhD students in a format that provides ample time for discussion.
The lectures will be given by Vladimir Smirnov (Division of Theoretical High-Energy Physics, Moscow State University) and Alexander Smirnov (Laboratory of Information Systems for Mathematics, Moscow State University), who will be based at the IPPP as Visiting Professors from middle of November to middle of December 2008.

Participation in the workshop is free of charge, and accommodation on Nov 21 and travel expenses will be covered by the IPPP for UK participants. Please send an email to Linda (l.a.wilkinson@durham.ac.uk) if you would like to participate. Please note that finding accommodation at Durham at this time of the year is not easy, so that arrangements need to be made well in advance for participants wishing to stay overnight.
