The workshop LHC / ILC Synergies will take place on Wednesday, March 23, 2005, at SLAC. The meeting takes place right after LCWS05 and before the CPNSH meeting on March 24-25. The aim is to bring together experimentalists from the LHC and ILC and theorists in order to investigate how the physics benefit of the LHC and ILC can be maximised. In particular, synergy from concurrent running of both machines will be assessed. If you wish to participate and/or give a presentation, please contact Georg Weiglein Howard Haber John Conway Please see the detailed announcement below. Looking forward to seeing you at SLAC, Georg -------------------------------------------------------------------------- Two meetings designed to bring together experimentalists and theorists will be held at the Stanford Linear Accelerator Center immediately following the 2005 International Linear Collider Workshop (LCWS05) that is being held at Stanford University from 18 March through 22 March, 2005: 1) A meeting of the LHC/ILC Study Group, which focuses on the interplay between the LHC and the ILC, on Wednesday 23 March, 2005. and 2) A meeting of the CPNSH Study Group, which focuses on CP-Violating and non-Standard Higgs Physics, on Thursday-Friday 24-25 March, 2005. ad1: The LHC/ILC Study Group investigates the relationship of the results and analyzes between the two machines, including how results from the ILC can be used in order to improve analyzes at the LHC and vice versa. The synergy from concurrent running of both machines is assessed. The first report of this study group was released last Fall, hep-ph/0410364. At the SLAC meeting we will discuss on-going and future projects. Organizers: John Conway, Howie Haber, Georg Weiglein More information: http://www.ippp.dur.ac.uk/~georg/lhclc/ ad2: The CPNSH study group explores the potential of present and future colliders for studying CP-violating and non-standard (i.e. beyond the SM and MSSM) Higgs sectors, including the NMSSM and similar extensions, little Higgs models, Higgs in extra dimensions, alternative EWSB, and Higgsless theories of EWSB. The SLAC meeting will include discussion of the synergy of experiments at colliders and flavor factories as well as cosmological/baryogenesis implications. Significant time will be devoted to defining the future missions of the group, including plans for establishing benchmark scenarios and for documents summarizing the group's studies.
